Workplace Mindfulness

Developing Staff Wellbeing and Performance.

Mindfulness training is scientifically proven to decrease stress, anxiety and depression. It is a highly effective mental skills training for increasing focus, concentration, and memory.

There is a rising toll of work-related mental health problems, with high levels of absenteeism and presenteeism, where people turn up to work but are not productive (Feldman & Kuyken, 2019). There is growing evidence that mindfulness is associated with staff well-being, skilled leadership and the effectiveness of organisations (Good et al., 2016; Wolever et al.,2012).

Organization & Business Reviews

I really enjoyed our mindfulness session with Jakki, it was great delivery for a mixed group. The time spent connecting with our breath and body and taking the time to be still was really nourishing…I felt really strong and energised after, I found it so helpful and would definitely recommend.

Performance & Lifestyle Coach, English Institute of Sport - British Gymnastics

I work with the British Para-Swimming team, I thought it could be a great opportunity to engage the swimmers in some group self-care and positive wellbeing strategies. Jakki really took it to the next level with her knowledge and experience of exercise and made it really relatable to them.
All of the swimmers and staff who attended gave me really positive feedback and one said “I loved mindfulness, the best session I have done. Found it really beneficial”’

We have used Jakki on numerous occasions for mindfulness workshops and more recently a mindfulness course for our employees at our head Office as part of our wellbeing and mental health strategy.

Jakki provides a safe, non-judgmental environment that is calm and welcoming. Our staff were provided with the tools to enable them to grasp a better understanding of the kind of thoughts they have and how to better deal with them.
